Rebuilding Fort Natomas

Hundreds of yards of concrete, thousands of board feet of the Trax style decking material, hundreds of volunteers and a host of every woodworking tool  imaginable went into rebuilding this incredible playground.  Located behind Jackson Elementary off of Pebblewood and Azenedo, this several hundred square foot fortrice is a true work of art and labor of love and dedication from the various communities!

Average volunteer attendance was over 100 daily with numbers reaching over 300 at times.  Food, tools, and materials were donated by local businesses, individuals and contractors.

The playground is strong enough to accommodate any size or age of "child."  Many of the workers were caught "trying out" the various play-structures.

These pictures were from Saturday afternoon, September 11th.  By Sunday evening the Playground was 99% finished.

What an incredible feat this was!!  You must visit this Sacramento wonder!!
