TRAFFIC COMMITTEE

Vision Statement: 

 To help promote a safe, walk-able and livable community  and 

 to help preserve and improve the quality of life in the River Oaks

Community Association Area, through traffic mitigation.

MISSION, FRAMEWORK, AND FOCUS

MISSION STATEMENT:

 The ROCA Traffic-Safety Committee’s mission is Three-fold: 

  • To provide a liaison between the City and the ROCA Communities concerning projects, needs and issues of traffic.
  • To reduce the workload on the ROCA LUC Committee by conducting in-depth research and coordination concerning traffic Projects and Needs Requests with the City.
  • To develop outreaches and resources for the ROCA Communities concerning programs, projects and issues of traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and transient access.

 

TRAFFIC FOCUS POINTS: 

1.Pedestrian / Bike Corridors

  A) Sidewalks to Schools

  B) Bike Paths, Crossings (Maintenance and Additions) 

2. Vehicle Traffic Corridors

  A) Street Design, Widening, and Maintenance Projects

  B) Street/ Sidewalk Accesses and Addition Projects (Like the Beezer

Auto Bridge, Treasure Homes access, West El Camino flow issues, etc)

  C)  Transit Routes through ROCA (Small shuttles around Orchard/ Pocket area,  Fed and City Grants and subsidies)
